For our client in the Telco sector we are looking for a Jr. Transmission Engineer
START DATE: ASAP
DURATION: 6 months (possible extension)
LANGUAGE: Dutch + English
LOCATION: Mechelen
Our client is looking for a transmission engineer for everything which is optical. This varies from IP, TV and Voice solutions. You'll be responsible for engineering solutions for internal and external clients. The field engineers will build your solution. You'll also be responsible for 2nd line support. The 3rd line support will be done by the vendors.
Profile
Conceptual knowledge Layer 1 and 2 networks, C/DWDM and Ethernet
- Hands-on experience CISCO-like CLI provisioning
- Knowledge of Alcatel-Lucent and Alcatel SDH RM mgmt system a plus
- Precise and detailed
- Trilingual - knowledge of Dutch is a must
Tasks:
- B2B service delivery - delivery of Layer 2 Ethernet services and optical muxed services
- Support for field engineers
- Administration, documentation and end-to-end follow-up of these projects in network inventory systems
