Translator German

For my client I am looking for an experienced translator German. The main task is the creation of localized content. The Marketing Communications Translator translates product catalog text, website, brochures, advertisements and other marketing material from English into German.

Key responsibilities:

- Taking the existing English collateral, the Marketing Communications Translator articulates the key message in the specified local language (German). The result is more of a re-write in the local language then a straight translation;
- Work with the in-house Reviewers to correct text;

Essential skills

- 2-3 Years experience in technical translations and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and manage time efficiently;
- Good to excellent knowledge of translation software tools, ideally in Across;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English mandatory) and the requested local language (German);
- Must be able to create acceptable concepts in a variety of styles and tones dependent on marketing project objectives;
- Must be able to work within a multicultural team of Translators, Writers and Coordinators;
- The ability to operate self-directed and proactively on given tasks;
- Attention to detail is a must;
- Must be available for 40 hours a week. Open for extra hours if required.
