TRANSITION MANAGER - IC DESIGN CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT

Our customer is moving IC design configuration management from DesignSync to BuildIC and VersIC on top of Subversion. To support IC design teams the project migrates IC designs from their current DesignSync vaults to Subversion repositories and instructs IC design engineers on how to use their new tools. The Legacy DesignSync environment is decommissioned.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The Transition Manager will engage with IC design teams to prepare and to execute their migration from DesignSync to BuildIC and VersIC, while working  together with local CAD support and  other members of the transition team. All migration activities including planning, coordination and execution of IC design data migration and end user training are in scope.

TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan and coordinate the activities to migrate R&D project teams
- Visit R&D sites and engage with design project teams
- Explain to them what the transition means to them
- Map the current way of work to the new DDM solution
- Deliver end user training to R&D project teams
- Support and/or execute design data transfer

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

- Thorough understanding and strong background in Subversion
- Knowledge of and preferably experience in DesignSync
- Affinity with analog & digital hardware design flows
- Experience with similar transition projects (eg ClearCase to Subversion, or Synergy to Subversion)
- Used to working in technically complex environments (eg R&D setting)
- Knowledge of Linux environments & Scripting, preferably NxDI
- Experience with Project Management (eg, PRINCE2, AgilePM, Scrum)
- Experienced trainer
- Fluent English speaking
