Transition Engineer

Our client an International engineer company has released a contract job to use as a Transition Engineer.

You will be responsible for the migration of services from the existing network onto the upgraded network.

A suitable candidate will be comfortable creating Scripts on Nortel Passports to enable the transition of Services. You will be able to programme Nortel passport devices via the GUI, before and after service Transitions, be able to create Scripts from Traffic Matrix Spreadsheet, be able to understand the HP Openview NNM system, understand the Nokia Alarm Management System - NMS/10, carry out post transition work such as removal of tromboned connections, or redundant configuration. and understand how transition has impacted on contingency for the current DaVINCI network.

This post also requires an in depth knowledge with demonstrable experience of the test and practical engineering aspects of Data Communications systems as well as the configuration, testing and transition of services on Wide Area Networks.
