THIS POSITION IS 75% TRAVEL!

THE PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION is to serve as Midstream`s subject matter expert and lead for support and training of our Midstream business processes and related systems. This position will design, develop, implement, evaluate and continuously improve our training programs and process using a range of learning solutions that is practical, relevant and engaging to our people. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual to make a tremendous impact on the development and delivery of our training process and programs to meet defined business objectives while working closely with all levels of our organization.

WHAT DECISIONS AND/OR BUSINESS RESULTS IS THIS ROLE ACCOUNTABLE FOR?
o Designs, develops and maintains a consistent and effective training process and training standards for the Midstream organization.
o Develops and manages the day to day training, documentation, support and development of the Midstream training process.
o Collaborates with subject matter experts and/or customers to develop and define learner objectives.
o Designs, develops and implements interactive training using instructional design skills, effective learning principles and creativity to engage our people in the learning process.
o Collaborates with subject matter experts and supports the Operations Performance Group (OPG) in assessing, recommending, designing, developing and maintaining instructor-led and web-based training programs/materials to ensure the information is current, accurate, relevant and complete.
o Trains instructors in effective training techniques and skills.
o Develops and maintains assessment processes that monitor and evaluate training effectiveness for the learning program and the effectiveness of the instructors.
o Delivers classroom as well as web-based technical training.
WHAT ARE THE MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY (KEY ACTIVITIES)?
o Designs, develops and facilitates curriculum and materials to meet customer needs, including instructions, exercises, evaluations, activities and training aids.
o Serves as a `test pilot` to evaluate and improve course content with an eye towards the student experience, instructional design, training standards and alignment with learning objectives.
o Researches and investigates other companies as to how they are conducting training and transferring learning. Use benchmarking and best practice data to develop Midstream-wide processes and practices.
o Incorporates adult learning theory principles and current instructional design techniques into Midstream`s training processes.
o Coordinate across Midstream geographic areas and process owners to identify and apply best practices, including Midstream-wide processes and practices, to accomplish defined business objectives.

WHAT ARE TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS (INCLUDE SPECIALIZED EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE, PROFESSIONAL DESIGNATIONS, ETC.) TO FULLY PERFORM THIS ROLE?
o Advanced degree specializing in adult learning concepts, curriculum development, and/or organizational effectiveness preferred
O AT LEAST FIVE YEARS EXPERIENCE IN DEVELOPING AND DELIVERING A TRAINING CURRICULUM DESIGNED FOR THE ADULT LEARNER preferred
o Strong facilitation and presentation skills
o The ability to lead a large diverse group of subject matter experts
o Ability to `speak the language` with Operations; previous oil and gas experience a plus
o Proficient at using Word, Excel, Powerpoint
o Experience with a broad range of educational media, tools and techniques desired
o Highly motivated and a self-starter
o Broad level of knowledge concerning industry codes, standards and practices as well as legal requirements desired

WHAT AREAS/ROLES DOES THIS ROLE NEED TO CONSULT WITH? (include purpose of consultation)
o Training Specialists and Training Coordinators working on projects.
o OPG leaders and process owners
o Commercial, business development, project and operations managers - consult to identify training needs/objectives and ensure that training is relevant.
o Frequent consultations and collaboration with individual contributors to gauge effectiveness of the training.
o Subject Matter Experts and process leaders of business processes to assess, recommend, design, develop and maintain training materials to ensure the information is current, accurate, relevant and complete.
