An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Training Manager with experience specifically in Apprentice Training Management to join a leading company in Edinburgh. This is a contract position with potential for it to become permanent, ideally my client is looking for someone who is available immediately but they will take notice periods into consideration if the candidate is well suited to the role.

Roles and Responsibilities
The ideal candidate will be designing, delivering and evaluating Modern Apprenticeship programmes, you will also be expected to undertake the role of Centre Co-ordinator to meet SVQ Centre Approval requirements.

Other responsibilities include:

*Manage and maintain learner data and records
. Assess learner performance against relevant frameworks and standards
. Line manage Apprentices for the duration of their programme
. Perform all duties in accordance with the company Health & Safety policy and procedures
. Work with and support other HR, OD and L&D staff across the client's business where appropriate
. Plan, organise and facilitate the Apprentice induction programme
. Carry out Internal Verification duties and responsibilities
. Manage customer expectations by agreeing realistic targets, milestones, deadlines and schedules for delivery of agreed plans of action
. Maintain a personal log of continuous professional development
. Keep abreast of Apprenticeship developments and maintain an in-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship frameworks and regulatory requirements

Experience

Essential
* Sound knowledge of Apprenticeship framework requirements with Experience in the Scottish Funding Regulatory Framework
* Good level of IT literacy - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email
* Good written and verbal communication skills

Desirable
* Understanding of Centre Approval processes and SDS contractual requirements
* Project management skills
* Coaching experience

Qualifications

Essential
. NVQ/SVQ Level 3 Learning and Development or equivalent
. Experience in the design and delivery of training programmes
. A1 Assessor qualifications award or D Units (D32, D33)

Desirable
. V1 Verifier qualifications (D34)
. Previous experience of Apprentice programme delivery
