Trading House IT Systems Engineer - £35-45K Base + Trading House Bonus

A rapidly growing London based Proprietary Trading House is looking to hire a Systems Administrator to support, optimise and improve their Windows based Trading IT Infrastructure. This is a multi dimensional role that will involve Software and Hardware (HP) maintenance and installation, networking and phone system administration, systems monitoring and backups and active directory/windows platform support.

While there are core support responsibilities, the role is designed to allow the systems administrator to be actively involved with day to day IT Trade Support, Server Builds (Windows/Solaris) and Virtualisation (Hyper V) so there is fantastic scope for development of skills or implementation of an existing more advanced skill set.

Ideal skill set and experience:
* Windows Platform IT Trade Support/Systems Administration experience, ideally within finance/trading environment
* Strong Hardware and Software installation and maintenance experience
* Good knowledge of Networking and related Troubleshooting eg TCP/IP/Cisco etc
* Desirables but not essential: Server Builds, Backup Systems Admin, Virtualisation
* Ideally educated to degree level in computer related subject

While technical proficiency is important, the business and technology teams work very closely in an open plan trading environment so it is imperative that the administrator has equally strong communication skills. This is a unique opportunity as the technologist will have huge exposure to the trading processes driving the business and therefore presents a business savvy engineer with the opportunity to develop a wider financial knowledge.
