Trading House IT Desktop Support Analyst Salary: £25-28K+ Benefits + Bonus Location:LondonCity A growing Londonbased Trading House is looking to hire a Desktop Support Analyst to support their Windows based Trading IT Infrastructure. This is a multi dimensional role that will involve Software and Hardware (HP) maintenance and installation, networking, phone, active directory and windows platform support. The desktop support analyst will be working with the senior members of the team so there is fantastic scope for development of skills towards becoming a Systems Administrator, this will then involve the analyst supporting trading systems, networks, virtual machines, Unix operating systems as well as Windows and Oracle servers. Ideal skill set and experience: * At least some IT Desktop Support experience, junior level is fine. * Experience supporting hardware (ideally HP) * Experience supporting Windows, Office, Active Directory and potentially Server * Exposure/knowledge of Networking/Protocols eg TCP/IP * Ideally educated to degree level/ graduate in computer related subject (not essential) * Strong communication skills, personable with some banter! While technical proficiency is important, the business and technology teams work very closely in an open plan trading environment so it is imperative that the analyst has equally strong communication skills. The team are extremely personable so will expect the person to be open and approachable in nature and ideally have some banter! This is a unique opportunity as the technologist will have huge exposure to the trading processes driving the business and therefore presents a junior level business savvy desktop support analyst with the opportunity to develop a wider financial knowledge.
