TRADE (B2B) MARKETING PROFESSIONAL
LOCATION - WOODHATCH, REIGATE, SURREY
SALARY - UP TO £40K PLUS 5% BONUS - 12 MONTHS CONTRACT (MATERNITY COVER)

Do you have experience as a Trade Marketing Professional where you have had responsibility for the development and implementation of Trade / B2B Marketing Account plans in an independent retail channel?

We're looking for a talented Trade Marketing professional to create and implement the UK B2B marketing strategy and activation plans for our independent retail channel and specific vertical markets for our professional imaging products and solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

YOUR KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY WILL INCLUDE:

- Developing and executing our professional imaging product category and account activity plans
- Planning, coordinating and executing both European and local trade marketing activities
- Implementing promotional activities as well as evaluating all activities based on sound marketing metrics, ROI and KPIs

YOU WILL NEED TO SUPPORT OUR KEY ACCOUNT MANAGERS AND ACCOUNT MANAGER TO:

- Design, sell-in and execute Account Activity Plans for all key accounts in line with the Pan-European pricing model
- Develop channel strategy with the Trade Marketing Manager, UK Sales-Channel Management and European colleagues, as appropriate

YOU WILL ALSO BE REQUIRED TO:

- Develop relationships with our major customers' Marketing personnel
- Work in close collaboration with the Sales-Channel and establish effective communication and relationships with other marketing teams in Canon Europe and Canon UK
- Monitor performance and recommend actions based on results
- Use Canon Europe Trade Marketing tools and resources strategically and effectively
- Clearly understand & proactively use Market Intelligence and Customer and Shopper insight data
- Manage inventory of promotional items
- Produce and deliver presentations with conviction
- Track advertising and sales promotion spend from all funding sources in relation to responsibilities, avoiding overspend

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

YOU MUST HAVE:

- Highly relevant experience in a similar role or sales role within the Consumer Electronics industry or an FMCG environment
- Strong numerical and analytical skills with good attention to detail.
- Project management skills in order to meet deadlines under pressure
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A clear understanding of retail drivers and trade marketing tools
- The ability to build strong business plans with clear ROI measurement
- A good understanding of digital marketing skills and practices

YOU MUST BE:

- A self-starter with the drive to succeed under pressure
- Confident - a good negotiator with strong interpersonal skills
- Creative and and have the ability to create innovative strategies
- Confident to use your own initiative
- Smart and presentable
- Computer literate, with a good understanding of MS office applications

ALTHOUGH THIS IS UK BASED YOU SHOULD HAVE THE ABILITY TO TRAVEL WITHIN UK AND EUROPE WHEN REQUIRED.

UNIVERSITY DEGREE SPECIALISING IN MARKETING MANAGEMENT WOULD BE PREFERABLE.
