Tool Store Operative Job Purpose

My client is looking for a operative to support the engineering base providing a tooling service to meet the maintenance programme for my client based at Luton and assistance with the network

Job description:

Ensuring that all material received is undamaged, the correct quantity and accompanied by correct release documents including serviceable labels issued by the operators MRO
Placing any item that does not comply with the above requirements in quarantine, until the discrepancy is resolved
Liaison with MRO to resolve any discrepancy found with delivered material.
Ensuring the calibration periods of calibrated tooling and equipment is not exceeded.
Control the issue and return of specialist tooling.
Complying with the appropriate Departmental Detailed instructions
Compliance with known and notified health and safety requirements, communicating them to others when appropriate
Ensuring that company and contracted customers` policies are complied with
Acceptance of other duties and responsibilities- as may reasonably be requested by the BM,SS,SP

Key Skills Required:

To demonstrate an up-to-date knowledge of applicable airworthiness legislation;
High degree of customer focus - both internal and external
Able to work effectively in a team in all levels of the organisation
Willingness to be flexible to meet deadlines and overcome operational problems
Current driving license
Demonstrate a working knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation
