Tool Room Technician

Yoh has a contract-to-hire position for a TOOL ROOM TECHNICIAN to join our client in Phoenix, AZ.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- The Tool Room Technician will control the inventory, storage, and issue of tools, small equipment, and selected consumable supplies.
- Tool Room Technician will also be responsible for small tool repair including hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic tools.
- Tool Room Tech will also receive and count stock items, and issue upon receipt of appropriate authorization.
- Use identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment to mark all goods.
- Tool room tech will also unpack delivered goods and store in appropriate location until issue.
- Clean, maintain, and repair supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

- Minimum two (2) plus years of experience working in Tool Room.
- Must be able to repair and inspect hand and power (electrical and pneumatic) tools.
- Must be familiar with operation of: Lathe, Milling Machine, and Drill Press.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/CERTIFICATIONS/KNOWLEDGE:

- Familiar with operation of Surface Grinder.
