TIBCO PLATFORM EXPERT (INFRASTRUCTURE, CONFIG, DEPLOYMENT) - TIBCO BW (6), BUSINESS EVENT,ACTIVESPACES, AMLG, START ASAP!

OVERVIEW/BACKGROUND:

The TIBCO Technical Support Consultant will work within the Systems Integration team within IT. The role will involve the implementation, development and support the Bank's Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) which is based on TIBCO technology.

The role involves working closely with other teams in IT to support the transition to a Service Orientated Architecture. The individual will be expected to provide effective solutions to demanding service requirements in addition to technical support on the application.

SCALE:

- No management or budget responsibilities.
- Works on first line technical support of the Bank's ESB application including monitoring services, supporting batch processes
- Works on and resolves 5-10 technical queries per day.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Implementation and configuration of the ESB product and associated components.
- Assist in the creation of the Bank's service governance framework.
- Participate in the migration of existing services deployed within the Bank onto the ESB.
- Provide input to the planning and implementation of further system enhancements to the ESB environment.
- Technical support of the ESB requiring investigation, assessment and resolution of support issues which may involve the design, build and modification of services.
- Liaise with external stakeholders (consultancy firms, software vendors, service providers, etc.) to ensure that technical deliverables are progressed optimally and appropriately.
- Ensure that issues that cannot be dealt within the Bank are documented and passed over to the software vendor. Liaise with this organisation and manage the process to resolution. Test and implement the resolution in the Bank's Development and Production ESB systems.
- Perform ad-hoc, informal training as and when required.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

- 3 years minimum TIBCO installation, product configuration and service delivery experience.
- Extensive experience of TIBCO BusinessWorks 5.x essential, 6.x advantageous.
- Experience of TIBCO Business Event, ActiveSpaces, AMLG and AMX Adapter for SAP.
- Experience supporting TIBCO components on a Unix/Linux platform.
- Experience of defining or implementing a service governance framework using AMLG.
- Experience of SOA design patterns and principles.
- Previous experience of working with MS SQL Server and BMC Control-M an advantage.
- Extensive experience of working in an IT technical team with a track record in delivering results within assigned dead-lines.

The Consultant shall work under the direct supervision of and report to the Head of Systems Integration on all activities as specified in the above section Primary Responsibilities and provide deliverables as requested by the Manager.
