TIBCO DEVELOPER
Summary
The purpose of this role is to undertake Tibco development. The role involves working closely with analysts, quality assurance and infrastructure teams to understand, meet and deliver development requirements, whilst complying with all development standards, frameworks and methodologies.
Duties and responsibilities
- Develop new applications, in compliance with development standards and frameworks
- Modification & enhancement of existing programs.
- Unit testing of the developed/modified programs
- Ensure compliance with change and release management processes
- Undertake impact analysis as needed
- Respond to reported production incidents followed by resolution or escalation as necessary and status reporting.
- Defect Management
- Delivery & Status Reporting
- Configuration management
- Prepare technical documentation about applications developed
Competencies
Technical proficiency in following tools:
- TIBCO BusinessWorks, EMS, Administrator, Designer, iProcess, and Business Studio, PL/SQL knowledge (Oracle 10g/11g), UNIX, Java, SVN
- Knowledge of Active BPM an advantage
- Knowledge in job schedulers
- Knowledge in other databases like SQL Server is an added advantage
Non Technical skills
- Domain knowledge in financial services
- Attention to quality and detail
- A history of working to tight project schedules and delivering successfully
- Motivated, enthusiastic individual with ability to work on own initiative
- Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to grasp and work with financial and newly developed in-house applications as well as overall understanding of system development life cycles
- Comfortable working alongside both business users and IT technical staff
- Customer and results focused
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Experience and Qualifications
- A third level qualification in a systems or business related discipline is desirable
- Broad Financial knowledge
- A Minimum 3 years of Tibco development
- Must speak fluent English
