Job Title: Application Support Analyst

Job Purpose:
The Front Office Application support team provide support for all Front Office and data management applications. The Role will be working directly alongside the business users to answer their queries in a timely manner.The hours of operation are from 07:00 to 18:00 5 days a week with a shift rota in operation which covers these andin addition there is an overnight rota to provide out of hours support to the US desk, Australian and new Asian offices and support the overnight batches for key business systems.
The role will be required to provide support to the entire Front Office user base but will be focused initially on supporting the Fixed Income business so strong understanding of Fixed Income and Derivatives is required.
Once established the role will act as a resource on projects specific to the team to ensure a smooth handover from development to support as guided by our internal operation acceptance criteria.

Role Responsibilities:

. Taking 1st and 2nd line calls from users of applications and either carrying out resolution or escalating and owning issue through to resolution.

. Working on small change and user requested enhancement's provided either by business users directly or following delegation from line management.

. Be a member of the overnight shift rota supporting the batch processing for all Front Office and data management systems.

Skills, capabilities, knowledge and experience required to achieve outputs.

Essential:
. Degree Level educated or equivalent
. A good understanding of the Asset Management Industry, an understanding of the investment life cycle and all asset classes and the key workflows of a busy business unit.
. Good working knowledge of SQL specifically SQL Server 2005 and 2008.
. Experience of working in a client focused environment managing calls to specific SLA's under the ITIL Framework.
. Good understanding of Front Office applications (Fidessa Latent Zero, Thinkfolio etc. Thinkfolio preferred.) from both a technical and functional aspect.

Desirable:
. An exposure to Data Management tools such as Eagle PACE
. Understanding of infrastructure products such as IBM MQ, Informatica or Markit EDM
. Exposure to the following skill sets SSIS, SSRS, XML, XSLT, VBS, C#
. Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Tidal/Autosys or Control M
