TFS Build Engineer

Capita SIMS is part of the Capita Group, a FTSE100 company. SIMS develops and markets MIS software for Schools in the UK and abroad.

We are on the search for a TFS Build Engineer for a 3 month Contract with extensive experience building and deploying .NET and SQL applications through TFS. We are only considering experienced Team Foundation Server build and release engineers. We are looking for someone who can help set up a best practice build and deployment service in TFS.

You will be required to contribute to continuous build, test and deploy processes and to maintain TFS code repository.

You will be involved in improving speed, efficiency and scalability of the continuous integration environment, automating wherever possible

The role will need you to create and maintain continuous integration process documentation.
You will work with the other Technical Leads to review deployment plans and release management.

The successful candidate will have experience in building and deploying large-scale .NET/SQL applications
Systems integration experience within .NET environment is highly preferred.
Solid knowledge of best practices, processes and tools required to support a successful Continuous Integration system
Experience with automating application deployment and environment configuration management.
Experience in administering source control systems (TFS) and branching policies.
Comfortable working in Agile/iterative development environments and able to drive the process.
Experience working along the boundary between development, testing and operations

The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, organised and focused, with ability to prioritise workload and have a strong work ethic and highly communicative.
