TFS Administrator

Capita IT Professional Services currently have a need for a TFS Administrator with strong Database Scripting and deployment automation.

ROLE:
Implement Team Foundation Server (TFS 2013) (Application, Database and Build layer) and maintain the server from multiple angles.
Schedule periodic continuous integration builds on the right build controller.
Manage multiple build controllers and build agents
Write and maintain build scripts
Manage the source control (specify best practises for branching/merging. shelving, Gated Check Ins etc.) Configure TFS Process Templates to ensure they meet the business needs
Create installers using WIX installer (Desirable)
Monitor systems performance, protocol compatibility, ensure capacity planning is accomplished, and perform systems tuning.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

-

MINIMUM OF 6 YEARS of related experience
- Knowledge of Build and Release Engineering principles and methodologies including source control, branch management, build and smoke testing, archive and retention practices
- Proficiency with build and release engineering tools including but not limited to source code repositories (eg TFS), installer and deployment automation tools (eg WIX, Windows Script, MSBuild) and automation experience (eg C# or .NET development)
- Skill and experience in WIX + C# programming (Desirable)
- Vast experience in administering and maintaining TFS instances (App, DB and Build layers)
- Knowledge of reporting and query tools and practices
- Experience of Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery process.

Must also have 6 YEARS EXPERIENCE in SQL DATABASE DEPLOYMENT AND POWERSHELL AUTOMATION SCRIPTING EXPERIENCE.
