Testing Specialist - Test Environment - Integration Testing - $500pday

The purpose of the TEST SPECIALIST POSITION within the Org's IT Testing Centre team is to provide extensive experience in documenting, planning, administering and maintaining components of the TLC (Testing Life Cycle)  to meet the needs of project delivery & change management pipelines.

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

- Formal IT qualifications
- Strong/Impeccable communication skills
- Knowledge and experience of IT technology testing best practice is essential
- Experience in Banking and Financial systems
- Experience in managing small projects
- ISTQB Certification
- Experience with Release Management
- Experience with Environment Management
- Experience with Change control
- Experience with the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Strong experience with SIT and SVP phases of the TLC (Testing Life Cycle) 
- Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance
- Assist with the documenting, planning, maintenance and administration of testing environments (includes DEV and Test as well as pre-prod)
- Assist IT and the different business representatives (IT, PMO, UAT etc.) when they are planning or performing Testing.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of all Testing environment changes resulting from work orders/service desk requests or patches.
- Assist with Environmental &Health checks& daily of test environments.
- Escalate technical issues as needed
- Partner with internal teams, outside vendors or offshore testing partners as required
- Provide recommendations for ways to maximize operational efficiency
- Assist in the formulation of a Test Environment Release proposal, Environmental Management proposal, and an IT Change Control procedure..
- Design a Test Environment build process and procedures in conjunction with other IT units.
- Assist with the documenting and formulation of SIT and SVP phases of the Testing life cycle.
