Test Technician - Hardware

Yoh has a twelve (12) month contract for a COMPUTER LAB TECHNICIAN to join our client in Portland, OR.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- SYSTEMS PREPARATION AND INTEGRATION in the lab environment.
- Conduct THERMAL MECHANICAL TESTING WITH MOBILE COMPUTING SYSTEMS.
- Automate lab tasks using SCRIPTING languages.
- GETTING UP TEST ENVIRONMENTS, EXECUTING TEST PLANS, AND REPORTING ANY DEFECTS OR ISSUES.
- Documenting LAB procedures and TEST environments.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- FIVE (5) YEARS OF LAB WORK EXPERIENCE.
- Experience with lab mechanical and electrical equipment including LOAD CELLS, LVDT\'S, THERMOCOUPLES, POWER SUPPLIES, DATA LOGGERS AND ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS. MUST BE ABLE TO WORK DAQ AND OSCILLOSCOPE.
- Be able to read and understand PC board schematics Familiar with windows operating system settings/configurations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, outlook and Excel.

PREFERRED JOB SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE:
- Experience with WIND TUNNELS AND MECHANICAL LOAD TESTERS (INSTRON/MTS).
- Experience with PROGRAMMING EXPERIENCE IN LABVIEW.
- BASIC SCRIPTING EXPERIENCE WITH PERL, PYTHON OR RELATED LANGUAGE.
- Lab maintenance, lab organization, safety certification or training.
- Experience with electronics soldering.
