Test Technician

Test Technician needed in Pennsylvania to perform equipment test set up, and conduct electrical and mechanical testing, on naval and marine equipment, including circuit breakers and switchgear. Requires basic electrical knowledge of industrial facility or ship 3 phase testing using oscilloscopes, meters, thermocouples and other related testing equipment. Former Navy and Marine electro-mechanical technicians are strongly encouraged to apply. Some off site travel is involved. This a Temp position in Pennsylvania but has the potential for immediate Direct Hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- The Test Technician is responsible for making equipment test set-ups, conducting tests, collecting and analyzing data and repairing equipment
- Be knowledge of military specifications is preferred; particularly, as relates to electrical product testing such as circuit breakers and switchgear
- Be familiar with and make necessary repairs to laboratory equipment

REQUIREMENTS

- Requires experience in mechanical and electrical testing of protection and control products, circuit breakers, and switchgear
- Experience in making test set-ups, conducting tests, collecting and analyzing data, maintaining and repairing laboratory equipment
- Must have expertise with testing equipment, oscillators, multi-meters, thermocouples, handtools and the ability to make basic electrical calculations
- Requires proficiency with MS Office for test reporting and knowledge milspec testing, IEEE, UL, ASTM is preferred
