Test System Development Project Manager

My client, a world leader in the aerospace sector for designing and manufacturing of commercial and military satellites are currently looking for a test system development project manager. This would be a 12 month contract based in Portsmouth.

Your role as the test system development project manager will be to manage the development of a generic test solution for broadband processor based payloads. The first step of the roadmap is the delivery of the MTS (Modulation Test System) as a new AIT Generic Test Asset. The delivery of the non-recurrent development activities for the contract in place with ADS key customer is the main commercial project-focused axis of the role.

Responsibilities:

Definition and management of the development and validation strategy for the end-to-end test solution to be delivered by the client for digital missions.

Coordination of all inputs to deliver the DSP test solution for the Payload and Spacecraft test phases of the commercial programme above mentioned.

Management of the project Test NRE and Test Customisation phase.

Management of project preparation phase for all standard test WPs (Test BoM; Test assets; Test procedures; etc.)

Support of operations; from Payload level through to spacecraft level and IOT.

QualificationsAerospace; Electrical Manufacture and design or ground station operation.
RF Communication engineering and measurements techniques
Telecom Payload; Digital communication/DSP/Processor based architectures
Previous RF engineering background able to interpret test requirements and test results
Experience as an engineering manager in a similar environment
Capable of analysing requirements and releasing cost efficient solution
Analysis skills and methodical approach to problem resolution and investigations

Overseas detached duty may be required near the end of the contract
