Test Management Specialist (f/m)

Starting date: February 2016
Length of the contract: 6 Months with possibility of extension

Task description:
*Manage the HP ALM test case catalogue for the Document Management System (DMS), which is a web based application based on OpenText Content Server
*Translate to the extent possible the current test catalogue into an automatic testing tool
*Re-engineer existing test cases, drafted for manual execution, using the business components functionality of HP ALM, to increase the re-usability of automated tests
*Refine test cases that are defined at a high level of abstraction (e.g. open word document) into concrete automatable actions in UFT (e.g. click document overview link, click edit button)
*Maintain and expand the automated test catalogue based on the outcome of the test iterations
*Manage the initial test execution cycles via HP ALM / UFT Lab management and prepare the hand-over of the steady-state automated test sets to the project team/test managers
*Support in the organisation of testing cycles for upcoming DMS releases, contributing to the test strategies and performing the role of project administrator in HP ALM

Your profile:
*Bachelors degree in information technology, computer science, information system security or related disciplines
*Proven experience with software test methodology as well as planning estimation, quality assurance and risk analysis
*Expert in establishing, maintaining and applying IT project-related test management processes for project and development
*Knowledge of information technologies and comprehensive understanding of project management and system development methodologies used in projects
*Sound knowledge of HP Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and HP UFT software and proven experience in automating test cases for web based applications with this suite
*Very good command of English with proven drafting ability
