Background: My client is a Brussels based international bank; they have a massive programme of infrastructure projects and are looking for additional resources with Test management skills.

Tasks:

You will be part of a team of Test Leaders (also know in the market at Test Manager or Test Coordinator) in the Bank's IT project Department. You will work on the infrastructure projects and/or on Financial Roadmap projects.
The infrastructure projects aim mainly at upgrading the existing Operating System and Third Party Software. The Financial Roadmap projects' objectives are to upgrade the existing financial packages software. These products could be running on Windows, Unix, Linux, Solaris, Tandem and Mainframe platforms.

In line with the company's Project Life Cycle (and the associated deliverables), your prime responsibilities as a Test Lead include:
- to define a X-platform (mainly Distributed Systems) testing and launching strategy based on a risk approach;
- to plan for testing activities as well as the required environments topology;
- to manage the test preparation and execution;
- to manage defects (from Quality Centre);
- to report on test progress and results;
- to produce a test summary report (TSR) and to present it to the major stakeholders in the GO/NOGO meetings;
- to organize the launch activities in pre-production and in production;

You will have to coordinate efforts with major stakeholders like the IT Support teams (responsible for infrastructure), business teams and service partners as well as obtain sign-off from them on key deliverables.

Essential Skills/Experience
- You must have worked a minimum 4 years as a Test Leader or Test Manager with at least 2 technical projects;
- Proven experience of coordinating virtual teams and working on multiple projects in parallel (ie. multi-tasking);
- Quality Centre;
- risk based testing and V-model concepts;
- experience in non-functional testing (performance test, fail-over test, swap test, security test, etc);
- understanding of technical aspects;
- cross-platform knowledge, with a focus on Distributed Systems (UNIX and Windows);
- some knowledge of SCCM, BMC-BladeLogic;
- ability to write a test summary report (TSR) and to communication during go/no-go meeting;
- strong ability to manage and drive changes;
- very good organisational skills (ability to manage several projects in parallel);
- flexibility (in infrastructure projects, deployment is often done in down time).
- Knowledge or certification of ISTQB and/or ITIL, or similar IT frameworks.
