Test Lead - Analyst - Expressions of Interest

A leading utilities firm located on the Eastern Seaboard of Australia requires Expressions of Interest from TEST LEADS AND TEST ANALYSTS for 6 month terms where you contribute to a program of reform to meet industry regulatory requirements.

The primary objective for the Test Leads and Test Analysts is to provide focused software testing across four different phases: Performance, Integration, Systems or UAT, where you will validate IT processes and software quality so the business can maximise technology initiatives.

TEST LEAD KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Coordinate and manage planning of the relevant test phase (PERFORMANCE OR INTEGRATION OR SYSTEMS OR UAT PHASE)
- Responsible for integrity of testing and acceptance activities and coordinate the execution of these activities
- Work with the Program Test Stream Lead on the detailed plans for the project
- Lead assigned phase of testing, including plans, resources, timescales, test deliverables and audit ability
- Select project testing standards for all phases and identify process improvements
- Responsible for high level size of business planning
- Business Case approval
- Liaise with the Test Panel on a day to day base to hold them accountable for delivery
- Manage relationships with the vendors on the test panel

TEST ANALYST KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

- Deliver testing on the relevant test phase (PERFORMANCE OR INTEGRATION OR SYSTEMS OR UAT PHASE)
- Providing QA and Software Testing services to the business systems
- Software testing
- Quality Assurance and Quality Controls
- Provide testing assets
- Apply Configuration and Environment Management processes
- Plan, execute and support testing and quality activity
- Apply the Defect Management processes

TEST LEAD/TEST ANALYST EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Demonstrated high level proficiency in the task of Testing
- Strong understanding of the role of software testing and all testing events throughout development life cycle.
- Test experience in Performance or Integration or Systems or UAT testing phases
- Significant automated functional testing experience
- Knowledge of automated testing tools and techniques, preferably Quality Centre
- Advanced knowledge of the Web Plug in for Quick Test Pro
- Knowledge of VBScipt and experience in database queries using ODBC or ADO/OLEDB
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and of SQL and SQLDeveloper is preferred
- Demonstrated experience in process mapping techniques, tools and software along with quality assurance and CI tools and Techniques
- Knowledge of industry Quality Assurance and Software Testing standards, methodologies, practices and techniques, including ITIL Quality Management, IEEE 828/9 and similar
- Demonstrated People/Stakeholder/Communication skills
- Tertiary qualification in relevant area

DESIRABLE BACKGROUND

- Experience in the utilities and/or telecommunications industries.
