Test Lab Architect

The clients laboratories are responsible for providing excellence and improvement in the areas of Global Lab Design and Architecture that includes providing a supporting network infrastructure design and operational support plan to enhance the development environment and access capabilities for software development labs.

For this, we are looking for contract consultants to be our Leading Lab Planning & Architecture Design Expertand to join the team, to help establish a Cloud Lab, connecting all R&D labs around the world to a big lab equipment cloud. With the lab equipment cloud, R&D users could schedule and use the test environments as needed, as well as share their test environments with other area users. The lab equipment cloud should also be a software designed Lab cloud which means it could be used to fast and easily form any network environments when needed. This position will also provide input into overall operational process and support requirements that ensure a stable, secure, and managed lab network infrastructure.

Over 10 years experience in lab plannning, network design and architecture within a global test lab or data center environment.
In-depth understanding of test lab architecture, tools, and access requirements.
In-depth understanding of network operational practices required to support a very dynamic development environment.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering. Advanced degree preferred.
A demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate efficiently with designers, developers, researchers, testers and stakeholders in geographically dispersed locations.

Excellent diplomatic and communication skills.
Excellent writing skills.
International travel may be required.

Beneficial:
Relative experience of tier 1, tier 2 telecom manufacturers (eg: Ericsson, Cisco, Alcatel-Lucent, NSN etc)
Design awards preferred.
Fluent in English (written and spoken) German is desirable
Excellent communication skill, good team spirit, and adaptability to different cultures.
