Test Engineer (Transmission, 3G, 4G, LTE) - Dutch Speaker

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A MOBILE RADIO TEST ENGINEER (TRANSMISSION EXPERIENCE) TO JOIN A FAMOUS GLOBAL TELECOM COMPANY BASED IN NETHERLANDS. THIS IS AN URGENT REQUIREMENT WITH AN IMMEDIATE START DATE.

WHAT WE ASK

- Higher level education with extensive experience. Or MBO level education with broad experience in Mobile Telecommunications engineering.
- 5-10 years experience
- KPN experience preferred
- Fluent English and Dutch language knowledge
- Knowledge of Radio Ericsson 2G/3G/4G networks(SIU) and preferable Huawei 3G/4G
- Thorough knowledge of transmission methods like EMTN, Microwave.
- Knowledge synchronization methods within Mobile networks (PTP/NTP Servers)
- Knowledge of the KPN procedures and experience with patch panels(vary from 2Mbit to optical fiber)
- Thorough knowledge of IP Networks(Cisco up to border Routers) GIT/Spirit
- Knowledge of measurement methods/techniques, testing methodologies (TMap, Smartest) and project management.
- Social skills for presentations and discussions (MT-Level).
- Good communications skills and personality to be able to interact on different levels within KPN and partners.
- Good skills in Microsoft Office, HP Quality Center (ALM)

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The department is divided into 4 teams for different areas: Voice, Data, Radio and VAS (Value Added Services), a total of about 40 people. They are (partly) responsible for the quality of innovations in the mobile network of KPN.

Together with our suppliers they perform test management and test execution. Based on test results, clients are advised about the release of new innovation projects.

YOUR CHALLENGE

Your job is to work as a transmission engineer independently for a project. Your responsibility is to arrange the test track together with colleagues from the Innovation department and the supplier. This requires good communication skills. Experience in telecommunications and mobile networks is required. Furthermore, specific knowledge of transmission domain in Mobile Networks is required.

QUALITY MANAGER

- Promotes the quality of existing/new services/processes/systems by implementing research on quality, advising on operation/optimization and initiation of improvement.
- Provides insight into the quality/performance (efficiency/effectiveness) of (existing/new) services/processes/systems by independent implementation/coordination of wide range of quality surveys.
- Focused on (combinations of) processes/systems/applications. Performed for study, impact analysis and formulates research approach, performed/coordinates audits/tests/checks/measurements, key to quality, analyze and report findings.
- Detects problems, formulates recommendations, discusses proposals for improvement, pulls (small) quality projects.
- College level with extensive experience (university level business experience).
- Knowledge of one or more fields of expertise and business. Knowledge of measurement methods/techniques and project management.
- Social skills for presentations and discussions (MT-Level).
