Test Engineer - Digital TV & Broadcasting

THE COMPANY

The world leader in Digital and Cable Television services have an urgent requirement for an experienced Test Engineer specialising in deployments, load testing, stability testing and test automation. to join its Technology Services Division on a contract basis for a period of around 5 months from their prestigious offices in Amsterdam but with some flexible working.

The Technology Services Team are at the core of the business and are tasked with driving strategy in the development and testing of entertainment services and new products.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for undertaking internal trials of new products or changes to existing products

QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Review business requirement, design documentation for completeness and testability; create effective trial scripts that trial all scenarios across all pieces of equipment where a new product is launched; work closely with trialists to manage any feedback, "bugs" or issues.

PROJECT GOVERNANCEidentify and manage bugs, risks, issues and impacts to customer experience; work with trialists, key stakeholdersensure that Trial strategy has been signed off by key stakeholders; regular reports on defects and issue status to the project team and stakeholders; ensure trial acceptance criteria is met and approval is obtained; conduct post closure review, collating any lessons learnt from trials and feeding this into the closure report.

Analytical skills; test case development, execution, defect mgmt.; relationshipself-drive; organizational, planningcommunication & presentation skills

EDUCATIONexperience in telecom/digital entertainment within a Trials or operational environment; TMAP accreditation
