Test Engineer/Certification Engineer

Test Engineer/Certification Engineer required by a global organisation to ad expertise to a major, complex Hardware refresh project.

DOCSIS and Wifi protocols experience is essential

Candidates should have experience of running and building test cases.

Main Responsibilities:

Perform HW and SW certification testing and provide results
Validate SW and HW meeting the specifications and requirements
Provide weekly reports to Manager Release management
Research the reasons behind any release/upgrades and how they add the differences between previous passed versions and new upgrades and how they affect the footprint.
Provide quality test plans and test result reports based on company best practices and procedures
Optimize and update test and execution plans.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

Broad knowledge of multiple technology platforms and end-to-end service architectures
Expert knowledge of Euro Docsis, Packet Cable, WiFi and SIP protocols
Good working knowledge in large scale complex application and network configurations
Good knowledge in de-bugging and analysis of complex application and network interactions
Experience in working with design teams and contributing to the overall network and application design in multiple customer environments
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English both written and verbal
Team player, ability to perform under stress, pro-active, analytical, responsible
Operational experience support provided during fault resolution/trouble-shooting of complex network and platform issues
Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent industry experience
3+ years minimum experience in a similar role within the networking industry

Fully certified deliveries towards Release Management
Certification is executed within the given Service Level Agreements
Create certification lab environments to support certification of any software release on network equipment and or systems
