Test Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Execute our manual and automated test plans to validate scanner software functionality and user documentation
- Analyze results (documentation issues, setup issues, software bugs, etc)
- Report and track defects resulting from the test effort in a bug tracking tool.
- Work with software developers and other team members to help root-cause any issues found.
- Ensure all timelines are met according to department processes.
- Document deviations to procedures.
- Provide status reports to project test lead

SKILLS:

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in a Software Engineering or Computer Science program are preferred.
- Must have hands on experience with physical machines and basic understanding of hardware concepts
- C#, C++ programming experience in creating scripts for automated testing
- Experience on Windows XP, Win7 and later
- Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and familiarity with Excel is very important
- Experience creating/executing manual testing via Excel passing Quality Center and other testing tools.
- Knowledge of software life cycle is a plus.
- Must be task oriented and focused, with attention to detail accuracy.
- Must be reliable with excellent interpersonal, coordination and verbal/written communication skills
