Test Engineer - Southampton - 9 Months - £Market Rates

I'm in urgent need for a Test Engineer for a 9 month contact based inSouthampton. The developer will report into the Development Manager.

Responsibilities

* Develop test plans and scripts from business/technical requirements and specifications.
* Perform manual/exploratory tests on early-stage code
* Perform functional, regression and performance testing.
* Create automated acceptance tests
* Advise the team about overall risks and trends
* Assist the business stakeholders define acceptance criteria
* Facilitate communication between the technical & business Stakeholders

Experience

* Experience working on Scrum teams.
* Understands the Agile software development lifecycle (iterative and incremental).
* Helps programmers, business analysts and others on an Agile team to think continually about testing and test automation
* Familiarity with functional and non-functional software requirements
* Understanding use cases
* Understanding of business process modelling and workflows
* Understanding of business rules
* Familiarity with UML design documentation
* Deep understanding of the role of QA and Testing in software development
* Experience with test driven design
* Test automation
* Defect identification and documentation
* Defect management work flows
* Reporting Metrics
* Black box and White Box Testing Methods
* Experience writing test plans and test procedures
