Test Engineer

In accordance with sound and acceptable engineering principles and test department standards, the Test Engineer in this contract position will develop test specifications, develop testware, and execute tests in order to test automated control system components. Testing will focus on system level testing. Testware should be developed to run automatically. Assignments are received from department manager and/or other team members.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Develops and follows detailed test specifications.
- Performs integration of test hardware and test software with product under test.
- Develops (or improves existing) design documentation and test procedures.
- Executes tests according to test specifications, records test results, and logs anomalies according to Test Department standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Functional/System testing of industrial control system components or Systems Integration experience using automation control products
- Current experience with RSLogix5000, ControlLogix, and EtherNet/IP Networks
- Must have experience with ladder programming
- Current experience with GuardLogix safety controllers and safety I/O (DeviceNet and EtherNet/IP) considered a significant bonus
- Current experience (setup, debug, and use) with Kinetix motion control systems considered a bonus
- Must be able to read control system schematics and configure, program, and troubleshoot control systems
- Strong system level troubleshooting skills required

- Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science
