Test Automation Engineer (S42)

Leading organisation is seeking a Test Automation Engineer to join their online project team where you will shape the automation processes for a large scale project, providing a flexible framework that lends itself to efficient expansion and maintenance and to expand the existing QTP automation framework.

As Test Automation Engineer you will be responsible for

- Developing and enhancing an existing QTP test automation framework
- Reverse engineering current implementations to locate and resolve issues
- Designing, and executing highly robust, repeatable and maintainable automated test cases
- Providing automation processes and solutions
- Implement effective reporting processes for test execution results
- Log, track and own defects through to resolution

As Test Automation Engineer your background must have

- Minimum of 3 years experience in professional Test Automation roles for large scale organisations with experience in implementing effective test automation strategies
- Experience implementing highly reusable and maintainable functional test automation frameworks, using a range of tools including HP Quick Test Pro
- Strong background in manual and automated testing of web-based systems, as well as a strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax.
- Expertise in a range of test automation and test management tools including HP QTP, HP Quality Centre, JIRA
- Extensive experience with Scripting languages including VBscript
- Ability to provide clear and accurate test result reporting
