TEST AUTOMATION ENGINEER FOLSOM, CA 6 MONTH CONTRACT

Our high-visibility client is seeking a candidate to provide development and support of the advanced software automation environment supporting Solid-State Drive (SSD) firmware and driver continuous integration testing. These software capabilities employ primarily a combination of Altiris 6.9/7.1. Duties include development to requirements/acceptance criteria, unit-level testing to ensure proper functionality, debug/support for software developed, and collaboration with validation engineers and test execution technicians. Will be involved in debug/analysis/reproduction of image/test failures to help isolate faults to automation software, test content or firmware/driver.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- 3 - 5 years experience
- Strong knowledge of computer science fundamentals
- Both Windows and Linux expertise required
- Programming in the Python Scripting, C#, VB.NET highly desirable
- Experience with automated test environments/solutions highly desirable with Altiris 6.9/7.1 and usage of ASDK
- SQL Server with SQL Reporting a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively ie day-to-day discussions and team meetings
- Effective written communications ie requirements and design specifications
- Overall ability to be clear and concise in all communications
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
