TEST ANALYST/DBA (ORACLE, SQL SERVER) (SC CLEARANCE, SC CLEARED)

TEST ANALYST/DBA REQUIRED WHO HAS EXPERIENCE OF SQL SERVER AND ORACLE TO ASSIST IN THE PRODUCTION OF THE TEST PLAN AND APPROACH FOR THE MIGRATION OF MICROSOFT APPLICATIONS WORKING WITH TEST AND PROJECT MANAGERS.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

- Experience of databases eg SQL Server 2005, SQL Server 2008, SQL Server 2012, Oracle 10g/11g and RAC.  
- An expert understanding of Database technologies ie Oracle 10g, 11g and RAC. Have excellent knowledge of SQL and Oracle. 
- Knowledge of Oracle Apex 3.12, 3.2.1 and 4, also OWB and OBIEE.
- Have previous experience of working on enterprise level Datawarehouse databases. Knowledge of Active Directory, SharePoint, VMware, IIS, also Terminal Services.
- Must have a strong understanding of performing server builds and configuration.
- Must have a strong understanding of performing application and database builds and configuration.
- Previous experience of testing on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Have previous experience at deploying Database CPU and BOS updates for both Windows and Linux platforms, to include Service Packs. Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain clear and concise documentation to a high professional standard.
- Competency and proven ability in the use of HP Quality Center/ALM for complete test management of requirements, test cases, execution of tests, defect tracking and reporting.
- Must have experience in using test automation tools eg HP Mercury QTP/UFT.
- Competency and proven ability in writing and executing test scripts/scenarios, as well as complex installation guides.
- The capacity and self-motivation required to meet the demands of the tight timelines and rapidly evolving priorities.
- A proven ability to resolve problems from first principles as well as from experience  
- Previous experience of writing scenario based Non-Functional and Functional test scripts, also Implementation plans       
- Ability to troubleshoot.
- Ability to document technical work.  

Desired Skills  It is desired that the individual has:       

- ISEB Foundation/Practitioner Qualification 
- Experience of working within a defence environment 
- Experience in the use of LoadRunner or other performance testing tools & techniques 
- Knowledge of penetration testing including XSS and SQL Injection techniques.  

Minimum experience requirements are:

- At least 3 years experience as a Test Analyst/Engineer. 
- At least 2 years experience as a DBA.
