Location: Northampton

Salary: £35,000 - £40,000

This is a six month fixed term contract

The Agile Test Analyst will work as part of a team and take ownership and responsibility for the quality of the systems under test. The bespoke programme is transforming to adopt an Agile (scrum) methodology as it evolves to meet the demands of a growing retail business.

Applicants should have a deep understanding of testing and have the ability to ensure Agile concepts and principles are adhered to. You should be a self motivated and enthusiastic Software Tester with a drive to learn new tools and techniques.

Key elements of the role will include

* Delivering test scripts that can be utilised by the team as a whole to deliver on the test strategy
* To assist in populating and maintaining the test management tool with the identified tests, and defining a test execution schedule
* To execute defined tests, record results and defects, and actively contribute to the defect resolution cycle.
* To provide regular updates on progress to ensure tasks are on track against Programme time lines.
* To ensure the test scripts are mapped to the customer's requirements.

Essential skills and experience

* Hands on, recent Agile (scrum) experience
* Test Automation using open source tools (e.g. FitNess, Cucumber, Selenium)
* Experience of Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) & Test Driven Development (TDD)
* Experience of test management tools (specifically Quality Center)
* Experience within a retail ecommerce environment

Desirable skills and experience

* Any (Ruby on) Rails experience/knowledge will be a major advantage

* Due to the nature of our business all candidates must be eligible for SC clearance which means you must have been a UK resident for a minimum of 5 years with no more than 3 months out of the UK at any one time.
