Test Analyst

The Test Specialist is responsible for testing of Transfer Agency Products for both Mutual and Hedge funds. He/she will be working on several complex projects including test scenarios and test scripts. He/she will build and sustain strong relationships with client groups and work with the development teams to triage defects.

Responsibilities include:

- Development of test strategies and detailed test plans & scripts
- General testing activities required to support projects & new business onboarding Coordinate/lead UAT testers
- Support the manager to establish standards & procedures for the test team
- Support the manager in sign-off of testing and support for the release to production
- Working with technology to co-ordinate and manage defect reporting and tracking
- Review business requirements, system and functional specification documents and ensure the end to end business solution meets the business needs
- Facilitate walkthroughs of business solution
- Support Implementation and Training
- Assist Application Developers (internal and external) and Technical Support staff in identifying and resolving problems. Assist with Second/Third Level Production
- Support Technical Competencies
- Minimum 5+ years Software quality control experience within Transfer Agency (TA) or other related Financial experience with TA systems (GFAS and MSHARE preferably)
- Proven expertise in Hedge Fund equalisation methodologies would be a distinct advantage
- Experience with series of shares/limited partnerships/hurdle rates/performance fee structures also a distinct advantage
- Experience in dealing with web reporting applications
- Strong SQL skills and experience of working in a SQL environment
- Strong skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint)
- Experience in test automation is required (eg Quality Center/Test Director)
- Experience in working with third party vendors is required Non-technical Competencies
