Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Molecular or Cellular Biology

The Department of Biology at the University of Detroit Mercy invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2013. Individuals with a Ph.D. in Biology or related fields are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidate is expected to teach lower division courses in human anatomy and physiology and general biology and to develop upper division courses in Molecular or Cellular Biology that will expand the diversity of courses offered by the department. In addition to excellent teaching of a diverse undergraduate student body, the candidate is expected to establish a research program that will include undergraduate students.
