Temporary Finance Manager

TEMPORARY FINANCE MANAGER (GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAIN & STRATEGY)

This 6 month opportunity to join the Global Supply Chain Finance team arises as a cover for absence.

The team supports Global Supply Chain & Strategy within Global operations and has a vacancy for a suitably qualified individual to be the lead on

- quarterly inventory and cost centre budget financial re- forecast process
- monthly actual global inventory reporting
- the 2014 inventory and cost centre annual budget process
- finance work stream within the LSCV project

SCALE: Global inventory costs being managed in the role are c$2bn. Cost centre budgets are c $20m with 100 people in the function

TYPICAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

For each of the above this will involve leading:

- Robust planning of the process
- Driving execution of the plan
- Consolidation of outputs and preparation of communications to senior stakeholders
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the quality, robustness and efficiency of the process
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with stakeholders and customers of the process

TYPICAL PEOPLE MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY (DIRECT/INDIRECT REPORTS)

No line management accountability

Remit which covers all AstraZeneca countries

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

ESSENTIAL

- Higher qualification in Finance, Operations or other relevant area
- Strong interpersonal skills - particularly influencing others and communicating clearly
- Focused and organized approach to tasks with clear prioritization and delivery to deadlines
- Ability to build and maintain very effective relationships with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent and current technical skills and knowledge,

DESIRABLE

- Experience of SAP APO implementations
- Experience of working in large multinational with complex multi-site interactions
- Experience managing and improving complex processes
