Telecommunications/Voice Support Officer

Our client is currently seeking an experienced Voice/Telecommunications specialist with strong support and configuration experience. The contractor will be part of a team and be responsible to provide support to a diverse group of customers utilising all forms of business communications

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- To provide configuration changes of voice services for the Government Corporate Telephone Network.
- To provide a range of telecommunication support services associated with proposed changes to the Government Telephone Network, Help Desk activities, and the support of major and minor PABX installations.
- Manage relevant Service-wide databases and systems, such as the spare numbers' database, one-touch speed dialling systems, Automated Attendants, etc.
- Provide other enhanced Service-wide telephony services and other associated duties.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience in the use of NEC PABX/Ericsson Telephone Systems and associated management software and technologies
- Experience in a Telecommunications customer service oriented organisation (Help Desk and/or Service Desk role).
- Knowledge of telephone practices.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of customers utilising all forms of business communications.
