Telecommunications Solution Architect - Petrochemical

Flint are seeking telecommunication solution architect and implementation engineer with experience of working to the rigorous and specialised requirements of the Petrochemical Industry.

The successful candidate with have direct and relevant experience of working in this filed, of design and implementing solutions for this Industry, and closely working with the petrochemical Industry, whose environment includes the following considerations. You will be working in Europe with a Tier on vendor, and be responsible for the delivery of robust safe and conforming solutions

- Petrochemical Industry telecommunication equipment frequently operates in hazardous environment that are highly infused with flammable components. This equipment must withstand extreme temperature, dust, noise, rain and toxic exposure, to ensure that all communications equipment meet all intrinsic safety requirements, intrinsic safety requirements recognised with ATEX and IEC EX approval.
- Communication solutions are vital for providing vital information support to manage and coordinate in-field operations and maintain contact with on shore offices and overseas headquarters, and often require extensive coordination and management in order to ensure that the petrochemical Industry equipment and teams are handled efficiently without compromising safety standards.
- Petrochemical plant and equipment operators need to constantly monitor pipelines and storage tanks for up-to-date measurements and leak detection and to stay in touch with maintenance personnel spread over a wide area. It is crucial that operators are equipped with solutions that enable them to better monitor pipelines safely, efficiently and in real-time.
- With the right communication solution, the movement of end-products such as petrol, jet fuel, paraffin and ethylene, transported by tank trucks, railroad cars and pipelines, can be better monitored and coordinated.

Whilst the priorities are Telecoms plus microwave and satconn with some experience of difficult locations, other technologies relevant to this role include Microwaves, Satconn, Floating LNG, Subsea, 2-way radio, and beaconing.
