Telecom Engineer

1 year plus contract for a telecom engineer.  This is a Level II position and is accountable for installation, maintenance and repair of all telecommunications equipment.  Candidate must have the following:

- 1-3 years of installation/maintenance experience in wireless, voice and data networks.
- Valid driver's license in the state they reside and the ability obtain the necessary level of driver's license to meet the needs of their position.
- Must be able to obtain unrestricted nuclear access to support the Nuclear Plant Telecommunications Infrastructure.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently after an orientation period.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret Engineering packages and implement identified solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret circuit Block CallPilot systems, Northstar key systems)
- Knowledge of Avaya VOIP systems
- Knowledge of DS0, DS1 and DS3 circuits, their associated testing equipment, and how to test them
- Knowledge of Frame Relay
- Knowledge of MPLS service

Local candidates preferred.  Must be able to work hourly on a w-2.
