Technician - Pharmaceuticals - Netherlands

TECHNICIAN/LEIDEN, NETHERLANDS/5 MONTHS CONTRACT/35 TO 45 EUR (PER HOUR)

THE ROLE

Execution of the practical project work, interpretation of the results and reporting. Conclude on results in consultation with the Sr technician and or the scientist contributing to the improved set up of the experiments or leading to improved execution of these experiments.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Practical realization of the development (experiments and tests) under the supervision of scientist(s) and in line with procedures (GLP, SOP, LSN - laboratory solution number, LSS - laboratory solution sheet)
- Documentation of experiments and results according to procedures
- Evaluation of results together with the scientist/senior scientist
- Responsible for writing (parts of) studyplans, SOP's/protocols in close consultation with the scientist
- Implementation of new techniques and assays
- Internal organization of the lab, including safety and safety procedures
- Stay up to date on novel technologies related to the work area
- Communication with external parties for purchasing of new equipment
- Order materials and equipment from the internal stock (facilities department)

SPECIFIC PROCESS-RELATED RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES (PDVS):

Execute experiments according to predefined Study Plans

-Assay development/qualification/validation
- USP/DSP testing
- Formulation development
- Stability/(Pre) Process Robustness/Comparability studies
- Characterization testing
- Matrix validation
- Release testing (TOX/CTMx)

Execute IQ/OQ/PQ, including writing IQ/OQ/PG Plan and Report for:

-Utilities
- Rooms at rest
- Rooms in operation
- Cleaning

EXPERIENCE AND BACKGROUND:

- Bachelor or Master level or equivalent (minimal HBO)
- minimal 1+ years experience
- Must have GMP background/experience
- Preferably experience as technician or equivalent in life science and for pilot plant operations in a cGMP environment.
- Must have either Upstream (USP) or Downstream (DSP) exposure. Of these, USP preferred.
