Technician

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES

- Provide documentation of events and status with analysis of actions/results.
- Ability to follow work instructions and make recommendations for revisions or modifications as the requirements change with the technology.
- Follow operational documents, manuals, with procedures and/or specifications.
- Performs moderately complex troubleshooting and calibration on instruments or test setups.
-Diagnoses difficult, infrequent problems with minimal direction or documentation; analyze to correct problems.
- Responsible for compiling, analysing, interpreting, documenting, delivering and archiving test results.
- Ability to follow Lab procedures and methods and work well under a self directed team.
- Willing to share knowledge and educate other associates on Lab procedures, policies and safety.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate performance of developmental parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions, and record results.
- Assemble electrical and electronic systems and prototypes according to engineering data and knowledge of electrical principles, using hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Provide technical assistance troubleshooting and resolution when electrical or engineering problems are encountered before, during, and after construction.
- Set up and operate equipment or process including adjusting, rebuilding, or modifying test setups and associated fixtures.

SKILLS:

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS

- Knowledge of operational principles for electrical engineering equipment such as Meters, Scopes, Analyzers, Probes and other frequently employed devices used for electrical data acquisition.
- Must have a good understanding of technical/engineering practices with an ability to interpret specifications, drawings and schematic diagrams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- Candidate must be motivated organized individual with sound communication, computer skills and should be well versed in Microsoft Office tools.
- Candidate must have technical training in electrical engineering or knowledge of engineering theory as it relates to electrical testing and applications.
- Minimum of 4 years of electrical lab technician job related experience.
- Years of experience required: 1-5
- Some level of Excel able to create spreadsheets
- The use of various electrical had tools and scopes
