TECHNICAL WRITER - WEB is needed for a LONG TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY for Yoh's client in Portland, OR.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Technical Writer will create and/or edit technical documentation for software and web based products. This would include text, illustrations and graphics and/or promotional papers and presentations (ie, application papers, product descriptions, catalogs, manuals/guides, commercial applications, brochures, product articles, etc.).
- Technical Writer will participate in planning and coordination meetings related to creating the documentation.
- Technical Writer will analyze and interpret data to determine appropriate syntax, style, and grammatical usage.
- Technical Writer will perform tasks related to the construction of technical and non-technical illustrations and graphics.
- Attend planning/coordination meetings to assess customer requirements.
- Responsibilities may include: overseeing preparation of illustrative material, selecting drawings, sketches, diagrams, and charts, supporting slide/video production, serving as editor on specific publications including article selection, artwork coordination, productions and distribution.
- Proactively request feedback on document content from the designated functions and incorporate the feedback in the document content.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Bachelor's of Arts or Sciences (BA/BS) in Technical Communication or an Engineering Discipline.
- Three (3) years as a technical writer
- Working knowledge of web technology, machine learning, software development kits (SDKs), RESTful APIs.

BONUS POINTS! OTHERWISE KNOWN AS PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Prior experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer
