A Federal Government Department is seeking an experienced TECHNICAL WRITER to join their IT Department for a 10 month contract in Canberra. You will be responsible for developing and documenting key service management processes and procedures. You will also be required to effectively manage a number of key information systems.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

- Write well presented documents of a technical nature for use of operational and technical stakeholders
- Assist in the development of Architecture artefacts including principles, policies, standards and guidelines
- Review Architecture artefacts developed by other team members
- Build standard document templates
- Edit documents for style, clarity and completeness

To be successful you will demonstrate the following;

- Knowledge and experience as a technical writer with the ability to quickly understand and accurately document technical design, complex business requirements, frameworks and processes
- Knowledge of documentation standards and best practice relevant to government ICT
- Sound judgement on document presentation and content
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills and an ability to write clearly with excellent attention to detail
- Good team skills and the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders
