Technical Writer Job

TECHNICAL WRITER needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Bridgewater, NJ.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Will assist a very strong client engineering group in the development, maintenance, testing, technical documentation and support of Windows PC hardware and OS platform standards in a complex multi-platform, multi-language large enterprise environment.
- The key responsibility will be to assist an engineering team with the authorship of requirements, detailed specification, workflow diagrams and architectural design documents for developing a new releases or versions of the corporate client platform standard including the emerging full disk encryption solution.
- Analyze the requirements and solution specifications and assist with the formation of a test strategy and ensure thorough and accurate documentation necessary for the project.
- Elicit, research, and analyze identified requirements.
- Document requirements according to standards, achieve consensus and obtain sign-off from key stakeholders.
- Follow the SDLC methodology and comply with technical and non-technical documentation standards and best practices to produce specified deliverables.
- Assist with the development, testing and support efforts as needed.
- Provide input on other technical writing projects by critiquing, editing, and proofreading documentation prepared by others.
- Document requirement changes following a consistent change control and release process.
- Identify, communicate and resolve issues and risks as they arise anywhere in the end to end process.
- Continuously improve subject matter expertise in the Client platform areas being supported.

What You Need to Bring to the Table:
- This person will perform the duties of a technical writer for critical client focused projects
- Must have excellent written, oral and presentation communication skills.
- Operating systems experience (Windows PE, Windows 7, Windows 8) especially imaging, common software installations, and automated provisioning via SCCM.
- Must have extensive experience with technical writing, and technical understanding of Windows platforms; familiarity with Apple Mac OS a plus.
- Must have a bachelor's degree, plus 3+ years working experience preferably in the pharmaceutical industry in a technical documentation role.
