Technical Writer/Documenter | Immediate Start | March 2013 Contract

A fantastic opportunity has become available for experienced Technical Writer/Documenters within a Government Department for a long-term contract role.

- MARCH 2013 CONTRACT WITH OPTIONS TO JUNE 2013

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work with a range of project and business stakeholders including subject matter experts and ICT project team members;
- Interact with staff to test and assess strategies and approaches to the documentation you are preparing;
- Develop a documentation range of highly engaging materials, including fact sheets, quick reference guides, user manuals and other course material;
- Assimilate a range of subject matter to build user-focused learning resources for a number of the department's premier projects; and
- Work closely with the Director of the relevant training stream.

SKILLS:

- Highly experienced in designing, building and illustrating engaging and effective training and support documentation and resources;
- 2 to 3 years experience as a Technical Writer and familiarity with complex ICT program environments;
- Ability to manage workloads and accomplish goals within tight deadlines;
- Ability to document technical concepts for end users clearly and in plain English;
- Excellent oral and written communication skills;
- A talent for contemporary printed and web page presentation design; and
- Experience in developing training simulations in Adobe Captivate.
