We are looking for a Technical Writer for a 2 months contract role in Duluth, GA.

Skills for Technical Writer:
An English-related college degree or equivalent work experience is preferred
Technical writing or knowledge management proficiency
Excellent written, verbal and technical communication skills
Experience writing technical documentation for both UNIX and Windows environments
Must be a self-starter who works equally well independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities for Technical Writer:
Knowledge engineer needed to author, review and maintain knowledge content for services business. Develop resolution scripts (Answer Flow guides), repair advise, knowledge articles and SOPs for services, build taxonomy of documents, create search terms. Ideal candidate will have strong quality assurance and technical writing background, ability to produce message error scripts and other documentation. Experience with working in a support/help desk environment is plus. Knowledge engineer will perform full life cycle work across other service areas, such as Engineering SOP'''s and other content which will be stored in the Knowledge Repository. Essential Job Functions
Links routine information in databases, historical records, and employee's knowledge base to the knowledge management portal to ensure company information needs are met.
Attends to details and reviews content of knowledge management to ensure accuracy and applicability.
Develops and maintains moderately complex to complex knowledge assets/objects in web-based knowledge repositories leveraging templates and containers.
Works with employees, teams, knowledge communities and expert groups to ensure appropriate work and experience is submitted for knowledge reuse.
Serves as point of contact for routine to moderately complex knowledge needs and for deployment of knowledge tools and processes to ensure company information needs are met.
Coordinates and maintains routine content, tools, and change management delivery channels for knowledge management environment to ensure consistency across channels.
Work closely with the support team to develop timely and relevant technical content
Analyze metrics and user feedback to make improvements to the knowledgebase.
