Technical Writer

My client a leading Australian employer is looking for a Technical writer to join their team on an initial 6 month contract basis with possibility of extensions. The successful candidate will be responsible for Writing and revising information about company products using software tools and system components. Typically including such items as manuals, help systems, on-line tutorials, installation guides and quick reference guides presented in any media.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

- Editing contributions provided by product specialists to produce unified and consistent support documents.
- Analysing program outlines and computer codes and liaising with product specialists to produce support manuals.
- Ensuring that any contractual requirements for support or documentation are met.
- Working on tasks of large scope and technical complexity.

KEY SKILLS

- Specialist knowledge of technical area.
- An ability to write in an easily understandable manner.
- Ability to deal with Specialist Computing Development staff.
- PC/Desktop publishing skills.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE

Engineering/technical qualifications and/or a working knowledge of systems being developed, at least 5 years of relevant work experience.

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE YOU MUST HOLD AUSTRALIAN CITIZENSHIP. BASELINE SECURITY CLEARANCE WOULD BE HIGHLY REGARDED.
