Technical Writer

SUMMARY:
The Quality & Materials Process Engineering group is responsible for the development, issuance and control of travelers and other associated documentation, which are used by production personnel in the assembly of devices. In addition the team is responsible for the in-process QC inspections of devices including electrical, hydrostatic testing, vacuum leak checking, mechanical tolerance measurements and other inspections as required by the project.

Seeking a Technical Writer to develop and manage travelers, operating procedures and other supporting documents under guidance of project engineers.

SKILLS:
QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidate must have computer skills
Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Access
Experience with drawing program (ie, Canvas, Photoshop, AutoCAD, etc.)
Some knowledge of HTML would be helpful
Candidate must be able to comprehend and translate mechanical drawings into written assembly instructions
Understanding of basic electrical wiring would be helpful
Candidate must have general experience with basic hand and power tools
Experience with machining and welding would be helpful, but not required
Candidate must be fluent in understanding, speaking and writing English
