Technical Writer

We are looking for a technical writer/documentation specialist to draft, edit, manage and maintain multiple technical documents from a variety of project sources for enterprise level application.

JOB DUTIES:

- Work with various engineering resources to develop, formalize and draft technical specifications, configuration, setup and end user documentation.
- Manage a document repository for all documentation produced or gathered.
- Work with the design lead to organize and disseminate finalized documentation to various parties.
- Help to formalize and execute version controls around all documentation collected.
- To work with other contributors to standardize all documentation into a common format.
- Other documentation related duties as assigned by the project Technical Lead.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with current technologies such as: Mongo DB, Vertica DB, Apache/IIS web services, Tomcat Applications server technologies, RESTFUL and ESB architectures)
- Must have experience writing at a System Administrative, system support level.
- Extremely Strong technical writing skills.
- 2+ years as a lead technical writer or similar position.
- Experience in using technical drawing and imaging software such as Visio or equivalent.
- Experience in using MS Office Suite for documentation.
- Experience documenting large, multi-function software development projects preferred.
- Experience using various documentation repository software such as Sharepoint or SVN.
- Knowledgeable in SDLC, Agile and other development methodologies.
